SHOWS
I began showing in the summer of 2013 after breeding and trying to improve my stock up to show standard over the previous few years. I have been very lucky so far and my pigs have done well!
Moonbeam after her wins and placings at the Real London show in September 2013. She won BIS there in the Coronet and Sheltie Cavy Club show! She went on to be placed (often first) in every breed class (and sometimes Coated and Non-self) she was shown, also coming 4th BIS at the Solent show in Southampton in November 2013.
Gem as a 2-day-old baby.......
...and then she grew and became a beautiful girl! She won her breed class every time she was shown as an U/5 and was in the BIS line-up twice! Gem did not particularly being groomed, however (although showing did not bother her and she never chewed her wraps) so she was clipped so she could live in the sow pen where she promptly pushed her way to near the top of the pecking order to boss everyone else around!

I took both Echo and Honey today to try Honey out at her first show too. Both did very well! Echo won the Longhaired Challenge U/5 on the Peterborough CC side and Honey beat her sister on the Southern Cavy Club side, achieving third place in the Coated Challenge U/5, third in the Non-Self U/5 and then also third in the Grand Challenge U/5 in the Young Stock Show!
